New Contract Awarded “Media Cooling System for Rumaila Power Plant, Iraq”

Rahavard Energy has recently signed a contract of “Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Media Evaporative Cooling System for 2*MGT70 Gas Turbine Units of Rumaila Power Plant” in Basra City of Iraq. The client of this project is MAPNA Group and the plant owner is Shamara Holding.

Rumaila Power Plant has 6 GTs in operation, each one 183MW, and 6 new GTs are being installed in coming month. The main purpose of this project is power enhancement of the turbines up to 10%, by cooling the compressor inlet air. The project must be commissioned until the next summer.

Turbine Inlet Air Cooling Technologies (TIAC) Gas turbines output power decreases with respect to ISO design condition when ambient temperature rises significantly.
