Successful Operation of Zagros CCPP Media Cooling System

Media cooling system for 2*V94.2 GTs of Zagros Power Plant, started operation on 15 June 2020. The performance test shows more than 20 degrees Celsius temperature decrease due to operation of Media system, which result in 15% power increase of each GT at the design point.

Located 20 kilometers from the city of Kermanshah, in western Iran, the power plant comprises four gas-fired units (162 MWs each) totaling 648MWs nominal power.

This project was accomplished exactly on schedule, during the COVID-19 pandemic due to admirable effort of Rahavard’s Team.

Zagros Kowsar Power Generation & Management co is the client of this project.
