Yazd CCPP Media Cooling System inaugurated by Iran’s Deputy Minister of Energy

June.2017, Yazd CCPP Media cooling system inaugurated officially by Mr. Sattar Mahmoudi, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Energy and officials of Yazd Power Generation co.

The total cost of the project was US $ 1.0 million, funded by Iran’s Ministry of Energy, to enhance power output of 2*V94.2 GTs up to 30MW totally, during hot summer peak hours. This enhancement is worthy as the Grid suffers from demand rise- because of ambient air temperature rise- from June to August.

During inauguration of this project, the Deputy Minister of Energy appreciated the efforts of the officials of Yazd Power Generation co., as well as EPC contractor & the Consultant of the project.

Turbine Inlet Air Cooling (TIAC)

Turbine Inlet Air Cooling Technologies (TIAC) Gas turbines output power decreases with respect to ISO design condition when ambient temperature rises significantly.
